The coronavirus (COVID-19) is still upon us, and its impact remains to be felt around the world. If you need roofing, siding or window repair or replacement services, or assistance with decks and additions, Major Construction is still here to help you. Leaving any damage unattended can cause damage to your home and you do not want to risk that. It is important to address any issues that you have as soon as you can. Here are a few ways that Major Construction can ensure everyone’s safety while doing full replacements or repair jobs during the coronavirus outbreak.

Safety Measures During the Coronavirus Outbreak

At Major Construction, the fact that you allow us to come to your home or place of business to serve your exterior needs isn't something we take lightly. We see every opportunity to serve you as an incredible privilege, and with that privilege comes some important responsibility. We want you to know that we are taking some specific steps to ensure your health, as well as the health of our own team members, during this trying time:

  • We will be practicing a social distancing policy with each customer and on all worksites.

  • We will constantly be screening the health of all of our team members.

  • We will ensure that our crew sanitizes everything before going to any project site, and will continue to sanitize throughout the day. And by everything, we mean EVERYTHING– tools, equipment, phones, tablets, devices, product samples and anything else we might use. Our team members will of course be sanitizing their hands all throughout the day, as well.

  • We have prepared a paperless (email) format to ensure low contact during inspections, meetings and the actual jobs themselves.

  • Essentially, we’re going to do everything within our power to maintain the safest conditions possible for you, your family, your employees, and for our own team.

Reasons Why You Should Not Delay Repairs

While it's important to prioritize your health amid the COVID-19 outbreak, it's important to note that your home should be in good shape, as well, to keep you healthy while you are inside of it. Ensuring that your home is sound and comfortable can make a big difference in encouraging you to stay at home during this critical period. With that said, any damage to your roofing is a matter that cannot wait, so having it fixed as soon as you can is advisable.

This is equally important for both major and minor exterior problems. Serious damage can cause immediate concerns, while minor ones like small leaks can turn into bigger problems and lead to more extensive damage.

For example, non-stop exposure to moisture (such as with leaks) can make your home susceptible to mold growth. It can also affect the air quality inside of it. Apart from potentially damaging your home, mold can also have an impact on your health, especially if you have allergies or respiratory conditions like asthma. Needless to say, now more than ever, it is crucial to stay healthy and to protect yourself and your family from such risks.
